We show our cats at Cat Fanciers Association (CFA) sponsored shows. We have had many Grand Champions (GC) and Grand Premiers (GP), several Regional Winners (RW) and cats of Distinguished Merit (DM).

Becoming a GC, GP, or RW depends on how many points you get for beating other cats at the shows. Required points range from 75 for a GP to thousands of points for an RW. DM is given to a cat based on how many offspring acquire show titles. A male cat must have 15 titled offspring and a female cat must have 5.
CATTERY...The Tabbypatch cattery was established early in 1993. At the time we lived in New Jersey, but packed everybody up in 1996 and moved to California.

CATS...Our first show cat, GC Lawhilcoon Blue Max, was a blue tabby male. When he became a Grand Champion we were hooked. We showed 3 cats from our first litter with Max and CH Jaywyn Zoe Brown. 2 became Grand Champions and 1 became a Grand Premier. Now we were really hooked! Our Grand Champions from this litter went on to become cats of Distinguished Merit and so did their Dam, Zoe.

TEMPERAMENT...We are especially proud of our cats' good temperaments and marvelous personalities. Being well socialized, their offspring make wonderful pets and many of the cats/kittens are a natural in the show hall.

HEALTH...The Tabbypatch Cattery is free of FELV and FIV. Our cats are vaccinated for rhinotracheitis, calici and panleukopenia viruses (FVRCP) and tested for Feline Leukemia (FELV) and Feline Aids (FIV). The breeding cats have echocardiograms to check for signs of Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy (HCM), once they have reached 2 years of age.

Kittens are vaccinated for FVRCP at 10 & 14 weeks and are sold with an initial health and non-genetic defect guarantee.
